9 Days from Tangier Marrakech

DAY 1: TANGER – ASILAH-CHEFCHAOUEN

In Tanger Airport you will be the driver waiting with a card marked with the name of Morocco. In the scheduled vehicle (4 × 4, bus, van) will make the way to the hotel in Chafchaouen. Dinner and accommodation in typical Dar.

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN

Breakfast in Dar. Free day to enjoy the blue city medina. As you pass the medina, you will find the peace and tranquility that emanates from the mountain. In the central square, a mint tea to appreciate the mix of cultures, children, the elderly, colors and the big teacher tree, right in the center. Around the square there are streets and alleys painted in blue, which confuse us with their labyrinthine mischief. DAY 3: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBULIS MEKNES – FEZ

After breakfast we will drive through the rural areas, where we will see the hills full of olive trees and fruit trees. Departure we will make a visit to the holy city of Moulay Idriss and the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Then we continue to the city of Meknes, Lunch and departure to Fez. The road is done on the highway. DAY 4: FEZ

After breakfast, guided tour of the mystical Medina of Fez.

DAY 5: FEZ – AZROU – MIDALET – ERRACHIDIA – ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA (440 KM)

After breakfast we will leave for Merzouga passing by Ifran which is known as the Switzerland of Morocco; Next, we passed through Azrou the famous city for its green tile roofs and beautiful cedar forests which are considered as the natural habitat of the monkeys. Then, we will go to Midelt where you can enjoy your lunch.
We will continue the path through the mountains of the Middle Atlas to meet the nomads who live there. In the southeast near the town of Errachidia you will appreciate the high cliffs and the Ziz Valley, surrounded by palm trees. At the next stop, Erfoud, you will have the opportunity to visit a marble industry that is filled with a variety of decorations. After that we headed to the final stop of the day, Merzouga. There you will spend the night with dinner and breakfast at the hotel.

DAY 6: MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI – TAMRDANITE – KHAMLIA HASSI EL-BIED

In the morning after breakfast you will start the excursion from the hotel that will take you through the sand dunes near the border with Algeria where you can have the opportunity to take photos and see the formation of black volcanic rock, you can also visit Nomadic families and see their nomadic lifestyle. Next, we will pass near small Berber villages like Tamrdanite before arriving at Khamlia, a small village. In which, you can enjoy the spiritual music of Gnawa, played by the black ethnic Berbers. On our way to the hotel you will appreciate the view of the lake of Ait Sareji (especially in spring), which attracts pink flamingos and many other birds. Then, we will return to the hotel to rest and prepare for an adventure (camel ride) in the heart of the desert. On the way to the Bivac, you will be able to see the spectacular sunset from the great dune. You will taste the Berber food, listening to the drums on a starry night and will sleep in a traditional tent (haima) in the desert. In the morning, we will get up early to watch the dance before going back to the hotel.

DAY 7: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ERFOUD – TINJDAD – GIRLS OF TODRA – DADES BOUMALENE

Next, we are on our way to Rissani through the Ksours and Kasbahs of Tafilalet. There we will visit the Zaouia de Moulay Ali El-Charif, the mausoleum of the Alaoui dynasty the founder, Lugo we will take a walk to discover the local market and the traditional souks in Rissani. Then we will go to Tinghir passing through Arfoud and Tinjdad where we will have lunch. Then we will continue to Tinghir where you can walk among the magnificent oasis of palm trees. You will spend the night in a Kasbah that includes dinner and breakfast.

DAY 8: BOUMALNE DU DADES – KELAA M’GOUNA – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – TIZI N’TICHKA – MARRAKECH

Breakfast at the hotel, we continue our way to the gorges of Dades, one of the most beautiful and impressive canyons in Morocco. This is what makes them a serious place to do full day trekking for serious rock climbers. Then we go through the Valley of Roses, where the locals make different products of the pink Persian. Next, we go to Ouarzazate passing through Skoura. Stop for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas movie studios. Afterwards, we will visit the Universal Heritage of Ait Ben Haddou, as it was named by UNESCO in 1987. This Berber kasbahs that has been used as a very important destination for international filmmakers for more than 20 films, was also one of the most important bastions of the fortress on the old salt road where the caravans brought slaves, gold, ivory, salt and silk from sub-Saharan countries to Marrakech and stop for lunch at a local restaurant in the village. We will go to Marrakech on the High Atlas mountains that pass through the port of Tizi N’Tichka (2,260 m altitude). then we go to Marrakech.

DAY 9: AFTER BREAKFAST WILL HAVE A FULL DAY EXCURSION TO DISCOVER MARRAKECH

To immerse yourself in the red city and lunch in the Medina, you will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Marrakech such as the 19th century Bahia Palace, the 16th century Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Majorelle Garden. We will also visit the famous souks where merchants sell everything from leather, carpets, fabrics, even spices, caftans.
